artworks over at IG

Instagram has been a source of inspiration for me in many ways. From art, fashion to food and travel and super cute animals (let's not forget about that!), i keep on discovering more and more amazing things and people. I have also been posting most of my artworks there since i find it more convenient. Indeed, it has changed the way we share our lives and craft tp the world.

Watch out for my next post on my favorite artists on instagram.

Sneak-a-Peak: Poppet

I am currently reading The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. and as easily i have been drawn to Le Cirque de Reves, i was drawn to Poppet. here's my take on her but it's not quite done.

it's probably the hair. i'm having a fondness for auburns and redheads lately. hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

How to Catch a Unicorn

what is it about unicorns that make it a constant subject for art? well, for me, it's their beauty, their strength, and delicateness that only virgins can capture them. and here's one captured now.

what about you, have you been intrigued by a unicorn lately?

a giveway collaboration

i've recently collaborated with Abbey of H.E.A.R.T for a Back-to-School Giveaway! unlike in most countries, June is the official start of school in the Philippines. i usually shy away from book shops during these times only to miss the early release of one of the most awaited books (well for me)! back to the topic... i will be giving away a set of 3 original magnetic bookmarks, all handmade by me, for my part. i'm sure Abbey has conjured up more items for this giveaway as there will be three (3) winners!

don't forget to check out and join our giveaway tomorrow, June 02 on Abbey's blog.

bunnies

here's a sketch of one of the items in my shopfrom the parent-child series. bunnies are such adorable creatures, but I don't see myself enjoying them as pets (I find them boring). below is the fully rendered version of the sketch with some minor changes.

i wish i had a nursery to put this painting in. it would've been perfect!

A Drawing A Day2 and 3

Elven Lady; Day2

Grown Shishigami; Day3
due to technical difficulties i wasn't able to upload these last Wednesday, but here they are. with The Hobbit movie looming closer, i feel myself being drawn to draw elves once more. they are indeed a beautiful race. the bottom is an adolescent shishigami, you'll remember that i've painted a young shishigami before, and now he's grown.

A Drawing A Day

in order to keep my creative juices running, this year, i resolved to challenge myself to draw everyday. even small drawings (which i really like, especially at the office) will suffice. and here's the start:

a funny Christmas card

my son made this card from school before the holiday break, and i just had to laugh out loud when i read the message inside! since when did we slay white horses on Christmas?

after that was a thorough lecturing on the lyrics of Jingle Bells (with proper spelling of course). i just don't get the angry bird that came with the message. when i asked him why there was an angry bird, he said it was his favorite (everything's his favorite lately).

Happy Holidays to all of you! hope you all had a grand time! :)
